Quick British Eggy Bread Breakfast

One of my favorite and really quintessentially British winter recipes is that the nice British Eggy Bread – rather like mum accustomed make! It’s a straightforward dance orchestra – principally milk and eggs (and bread of course) with some of twists on the classic. The chives and spring onions provides it a small amount additional peppiness, and if you'll be able to get your hands thereon then Marmite is what finishes this dish off (and makes it British). am fond of it or hate it as they assert – I actually fall under the previous camp. something which will have Marmite smudgy thereon, should.

Quick British Eggy Bread Breakfast

Ingredients

  • 1 spring onions
  • ½ handful chives
  • 2 small eggs
  • 2 large slices bread
  • ⅛ cup milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp curry powder
  • Optional and awesome
  • Marmite

Instructions

  1. Chop the spring onions and cut the chives
  2. Crack the eggs (individually ofc, you never know when you might get a bad one) and mix with chives and spring onions
  3. Add the milk, salt, pepper and curry powder and stir well
  4. Transfer to a wide bowl
  5. Soak each piece of bread in the mixture for a few seconds (making sure the chives and spring onions attach themselves to the bread)
  6. Fry for a minute or two on each side until nice and crispy
